The Revlon Colorburst lipstick is probably one of the cheapest nude lipsticks we have reviewed thus far. It’s extremely low price makes it very popular for ladies on a budget, but how does it stack up against the luxury brands?
Upon first sights, the product looks nice. It’s cheaper price is definitely not affecting the look of the lipstick itself. The lid clicks in place although it didn’t feel as firm as many other brands we have reviewed. We are a little concerned that the packaging might wear a little over time and the lid might not click shut as well.
We have tried two different shades of the Revlon Colorburst range, and they both do their names justice.
The Revlon Colorburst in Hazelnut is exactly what it says on the tin. It’s a nude shade of lipstick that will suit ladies with a fair skin best. It does have some orange hints to it, which makes it best suitable for ladies with a normal or cool undertone. We wouldn’t recommend this color to anyone with a pale complexion as it’ll be just a hint too rich.
The Revlon Colorburst in Hazelnut has a rich highly pigmented hazelnut color that offers instant richness to any woman wearing it. As the name implies it’s a darker nude, and we think it would be best for ladies with a dark or olive skin. The pigmentation of this color means that you can use it very well when you have warm undertones.
The Revlon Colorburst lipstick feels feather light. The innovative pigments of the Revlon Colorburst lipstick are meant to release the high-pigment color on lips, providing a moisturized feel. You can use a lipliner, although we found this was not really needed with the hazelnut color.
We applied this lipstick in the morning and found we really only needed to reapply it once during the day. Part of the reason for this is that the Vevlon Colorburst has conditioning properties. We were impressed with the lasting effect the Revlon Colorburst offered, especially at it’s price range.
Ofcourse it’s not entirely fair to compare this Revlon Colorburst lipstick with other nudes that are 4 times as expensive, or sometimes even more than that. For the price it’s pitched at, it does the job and is worth every cent.
The Revlon Colorburst has definitely been the best nude lipstick we have seen at this range. The colors deliver what they promise. A simple twist of the tube will let you create a unique and faltering look. The shades will accentuate your lips to make you look wonderful.
Obviously it’s hard to compare the Revlon Colorburst with products many times more expensive. We feel that the lipstick does what it’s supposed to do for it’s price. there are better alternatives out there, but for the price range it’s really pretty good. The different colors deliver rich nude shades and the lipstick lasts fairly well.
